HIKING
Torrey Pines State Park: This beachside spot has 6 trails that range from mild to difficult. For the most intense workout, try the Guy Fleming Trail or Razor Point Trail. Torrey Pines State Park is located just a short walk from the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean.
Coastal Walk: Walk the central coastline of La Jolla using this trail, which stretches from La Jolla Cove to La Jolla Shores. Start at either spot and simply follow the trail to the other. From Kellogg Park to Children’s Pool, this low-intensity trail gives you amazing sights of the water and great views of the local wildlife…like sea lions!
Mt. Soledad: This memorial is a pinnacle point of La Jolla, literally based on its high-rise location. The monument was built here in honor of servicemen that served the United States of America; the reason many people come here is to pay respect to them and their great sacrifices. Most folks hike this hill using Via Capri Street. You hike until you’ve reached your destination…the commemorative monument that is the Mt. Soledad cross. Once you’ve taken in the monument, the 360 degree view and are ready to journey onward, you can head back down Via Capri or head down La Jolla Scenic Drive South.
